The exhibition, organised jointly with the Verbania Museum of Painting, offers the opportunity to present part of the collection of Trubetskoy’s studio, which was transferred to this Italian museum after his death. It offers a new perspective on his work and his distinctive style. The way Troubetzkoy works on his models, using small, energetic strokes that catch the light in bronze castings and make it vibrate on the metal surface, certainly raises the question of impressionism in sculpture.
