The International Folklore Festival of Segura (Festival Internacional de Folklore en el Segura) is an annual cultural festival held in the city of Cieza (Murcia, Spain), dedicated to the traditional music and dances of the peoples of the world.
The El Segura International Folk Festival is organised by the Cieza Choir and Dance Group, and is held annually in this Murcia town (Cieza).
It is a major event promoting happiness, respect, tolerance and solidarity, bringing together people of different races, religions, ideas and origins, with a great festive atmosphere and one common language: folk. Each year, over these days, Cieza becomes the world capital of popular culture, with a craft market, street entertainment by different participating groups and a range of other activities, as well as music shows by the different companies.
