This is the 15th anniversary edition of one of the most iconic triathlons in northern Spain.
The Bilbao middle distance triathlon has been taking place since 2011, next to the city’s most important buildings.
The 1,900-metre swim takes place in the estuary, next to the Guggenheim Museum. The 90-km bike section crosses Bilbao, and the run goes past buildings such as Arriaga Theatre, Euskalduna Palace, the City Hall and the Guggenheim and Maritime Museums.
