The exhibition aims to present a broad overview of the work of Paul Cézanne (1839-1906) in light of his artistic legacy, through a constant, synthetic, and original dialogue. It testifies to the artist’s unparalleled posterity, from the time when, in seclusion in Aix, some questioned his very existence, to the 20th-century “Cézanne myth” as the founding father of pictorial modernity.
