The International Truffle Festival Graz is an annual culinary event held in the autumn in the city of Graz, Austria—officially recognized as the country’s “culinary capital.”
Few people know that seven species of truffles—including the prized black Burgundy truffle—grow in the urban forests of Graz. The festival aims to introduce residents and tourists to this hidden underground treasure of the region.
The International Truffle Market takes place in the Paradeishof courtyard. Vendors bring their delicacies from Italy (the Alba and Piedmont regions), Croatia (Istria), and various parts of Austrian Styria. Here, you can sample and purchase fresh truffles, truffle oils, cheeses, cured meats, and pasta.
