Umbria Jazz Winter 2026/27 is the winter edition of one of the world’s most renowned jazz festivals, taking place in the medieval Italian city of Orvieto (Umbria region) from December 30, 2026, to January 3, 2027.
Unlike the major summer festival traditionally hosted by Perugia, its winter counterpart creates a cozier, more intimate, and festive atmosphere, combining jazz with New Year’s celebrations.
The streets and stages resound not only with classic and contemporary Italian jazz but also with soul, funk, blues, gospel, and classic rock ‘n’ roll.
The program includes festive New Year’s dinners with live music, and on New Year’s Day, a large-scale gospel choir performance traditionally takes place in the city’s main cathedral (Duomo di Orvieto).
