Biennale Arte 2026 is the 61st Venice Biennale, the oldest and most prestigious international contemporary art exhibition. Running from May 9 to November 22, 2026, under the theme “In Minor Keys,” it brings together artists from 99 countries to explore fragility, memory, and inner strength.
This event is often referred to as the “Olympic Games of the art world,” as participating countries present their own unique projects in national pavilions.
Concept: The title alludes to a musical metaphor. Unlike in previous years, the exhibition moves away from loud political manifestos and slogans. It focuses on quiet art and themes of fragility, inner memory, intimacy, the slowing of time, and “low-key” protest. The exhibition invites the viewer to slow down and listen to what is usually overlooked.
